An "ask me anything" is simple: you say who you are and what you do, and everyone else asks. Night-shift nurses, farmers, translators, collectors, people who've moved countries: ordinary lives are often the most fascinating.
If you'd like to host one:
- Start with a short introduction and the topics you're happy to cover
- Say when you'll be around to reply
- Share only what you're comfortable with, and never post details like your address or workplace
If you're asking:
- Be curious and respectful, and skip anything invasive
- Read earlier questions first so the host isn't answering the same one twice
