Whether you first installed Linux last week or have been running it for decades, this room is for the operating system, its many distributions and the community around it.
Newcomers are especially welcome. Some threads worth starting:

- Desktop environments: what do you run and how have you customised it?
- Getting games, printers or tricky hardware to cooperate.
When asking for help, share your distribution, what you ran and the exact error message. Be careful with commands copied from strangers, especially anything using sudo, and never post passwords or private keys.
