Maps that surprised you, taught you something or made you smile

This room celebrates maps: historical charts, clever data maps, beautiful cartography, fantasy worlds and the odd little maps that show something unexpected.
Unfold the conversation with one of these:
- Share a map that changed how you understood a place
- Map projections: which one do you prefer, and what does it distort?
- Hand-drawn maps from books and games that you love
- Old maps with strange errors or imaginary islands
- Have you made a map yourself? Tell us about the tools and data
When you share a map, please include its source and a line about what it shows. Discussion about borders and history is welcome as long as it stays respectful. Post on the board or trade finds in the chat.
