Nature showing off: the most astonishing thing you have seen outdoors
TUREFF• •0
The natural world is endlessly inventive. This space is for animals, plants, weather and landscapes doing things that seem almost too wild to be real.
Some topics that could carry a long thread:
- Animal abilities that feel like superpowers, such as camouflage, migration or mimicry.
- Weather and sky events: lightning, auroras, halos around the sun.
- Plants with strange strategies, from carnivorous leaves to seeds that travel for miles.
- Wildlife you can spot close to home if you know where to look.
When posting footage, credit the photographer or channel if it is not your own, and be kind to wildlife: no disturbing nests or chasing animals for a shot.
Share a photo, clip or fact, explain the science in the comments if you know it, and come swap favourite nature documentaries in the chat.
