Political news and civil debate: share views, respect people

This room is for discussing political news, policy and ideas. People here will come from different countries and hold very different views, which is exactly what makes a good discussion possible.
To keep things useful, some ground rules first: argue with ideas, not people. No personal attacks, harassment or slurs, and please link sources when sharing news.
Some questions to open with:
- Which policy issue do you think gets too little attention?
- How do you check whether a news story is accurate before sharing it?
- What is something you changed your mind about, and what changed it?
- How does political life in your country differ from others you know?
Disagreement is welcome; hostility is not. Post articles and thoughtful takes on the board, and keep the chat friendly even when opinions clash.
