Which sport would you use to hook a total newcomer?

Football, basketball, baseball, cricket, tennis, rugby, climbing, table tennis, esports, anything with a scoreboard or a finish line: all sports and all countries are welcome here.
Discussion starters:
- The greatest match or moment you've ever watched
- Sports that are huge in your country but little known elsewhere
- Rule changes that improved, or ruined, a game
- Underdog stories that still give you chills
- Playing versus watching: which fills your weekends?
Rivalries are part of the fun, so banter away, but keep it about the teams and not the people in the thread. Post match reactions and analysis on the board, and join the chat during big games for live commentary together.
